I hope I have the right catagory and spelled the name of my tree right LOL!

I have a Ficus that is I think a variegated (green leaves with a lighter cream to light green trimming the edges of the leaves,,,,anyway,,,,I was wondering, if it would hurt to prune it up a bit (want to make it bushier and shorter).

I'm familiar with the Ficus trees but up here we only grow them in pots....should be OK top prune anyway you want, just make clean cuts as not to damage the tissue where it is being pruned

Thank you for the information!!! I was thinking it would actually be healthier for it, but just wasn't sure, especially when one day I clipped off what I thought was a small dead twig, and it started leaking like crazy, so I wanted to check for sure before doing anything. I have had this tree for a few years now, and don't want to loose it.

Yep it is in a pot indoors too.
